The film
Had the chance to direct the launch film for Ferrari Hypersail with an insanely talented team @futuredeluxe . loads of R&D, experimentation, redesigning, testing transitions, playing with light/materials and figuring out how to make something this technical still feel emotional and cinematic all for a boat that’s still being made. The team at Ferrari were so nice to work with - legit not just saying that big shout out to them ❤️
The ai innovation
For the liquid elements within the film, we developed a bespoke AI-driven workflow that blurred the line between traditional 3D and generative techniques. Starting with carefully crafted 3D renders, we used AI to enhance the imagery, pushing the realism, texture and behaviour of the water beyond what we could achieve through conventional methods alone.
We then developed a custom ComfyUI pipeline to transform these stills into motion — generating dynamic sequences of the boat sailing through an evolving, hyper-real ocean environment. The result was a hybrid approach that combined the control and precision of 3D with the unpredictability and fluidity of AI.
